Mumbai triple blasts
India was made to bleed again this year with terror revisiting the country. India’s financial capital Mumbai was attacked on July 13 when three powerful explosions, within minutes of each other, killed at least 21 people and injured over 100 others. The explosions took place at Dadar, Zaveri Bazaar and Opera House.
Delhi High Court blast
The common people were target of the terrorists once more when they struck in the heart of the capital. On September 7, a powerful bomb went off outside the Delhi High Court at 10.17 am in which at least 15 persons were killed and around 90 persons were injured. The blast occurred between Gate No. 4 and 5 of the Delhi High Court.
Maligaon and other blasts
There were a host of other terror strikes too which gripped the country this year. On April 6, two blasts took place in Maligaon in Assam which killed 7 persons. On September 17, a low-intensity blast in which a crude Improvised Explosive Device ripped through the reception area of a private hospital in Agra leaving six people injured. A powerful blast also occurred in Imphal, injuring one person on 30 November.
